Choosing the Right Rug Size for Your Spaces

Living Room: For larger rooms, select a size that allows all furniture to rest entirely on the rug. For smaller rooms, use a size that allows all furniture to be positioned off the rug or with only the front legs on the rug.

Bedroom: Opt for a large rug that frames your bed and nightstands, with at least 18 inches of rug on both sides of any bed. Alternatively, consider "sandwiching" the bed with runners on either side.

Dining Room: Consider the size of the room and your dining table, including the number of chairs. Rugs should be laid to expose at least 18 inches of floor around the perimeter of the room, and leave 18 to 24 inches of rug around the table to accommodate chair movement.

Rug Care and Cleaning Tips
